Message from Leon

Welcome to the start of the most exciting and rewarding profession in the world!

Believe it or not, every successful hairdresser including the legendary Vidal Sasson, Paul Mitchell, Leland Hirsch, Michael Mazzei and Graham Webb began just as you are about to. There is no such thing as natural talent. No one is born with the skills to be a successful hairdresser.

First and foremost you need to be passionate and dedicated, with a sincere desire to be the very best you can be. Without that you can never expect to make any of your dreams a reality, no matter what career path you choose. That is your commitment.

Our commitment is to provide you with the highest quality education available, and to give you the relevant technical and professional skills to be successful. Our state of the art facility will offer a positive, creative and fun learning environment. All of our expertly trained instructors will help cultivate each student's individual growth.

As a working hairdresser, salon owner, educator and international platform artist, I have shared our philosophy and techniques with thousands of hairdressers throughout the United States and Europe. It has always been my dream to bring this world-class education to Western New York. I feel honored and privileged that you have chosen our school to begin your career.

Good luck.

Sincerest professional regards,

Choose your school carefully

Q. I would like to be a really amazing stylist. My state doesn't offer apprenticeship programs unless you are already licensed.

Does it matter which school I go to?

A. This profession offers incredible opportunities; you are making a good career choice and you will want to choose your basic school wisely. I asked Tiffany Turner, an admissions associate at Pivot Point International, to share some of her expertise. She says:
"It absolutely matters which school you attend..."
"First, consider the reputation..."
"Consider a school's educational philosophy..."
"Accredited schools offer financial aid and student loans...
"Job placement is another factor to consider..."
"Ask about the school's completion rate..."
"Lastly, trust your instincts..."
