Registration Fee: $ 100
Kit/supplies: $
600
Tuition: $7,200
Total: $7,900
Students are required to pay in full for
the course before you will be allowed to graduate through cash,
check or credit card. Financial Aid is available to those who
qualify. This includes Pell Grants, Subsidized and Unsubsidized
Federal loans as well as parent PLUS loans.
The subsidized Federal
Stafford Loan is awarded based
on need. The Federal Government pays interest due while the
student is in school and during the grace period. The maximum
amount a 1st year student can borrow is $2,625.00 (this total
can be split up in both subsidized and unsubsidized - This is a
loan and must be paid back. You will have a 6-month grace
period from the date of completion or withdrawal from school to
begin repaying your loan.
The unsubsidized
Federal Stafford Loan is not
awarded based on need; interest accrues from the time the loan
is dispersed until it is paid in full. The student has the
option of making the interest payments while they are in
school. If you choose to allow the interest to accumulate, it
will be capitalized.
Capitalization is the process whereby a
lender adds unpaid interest to the principal balance of a loan
and additional interest will be based upon the higher loan
amount. This is a loan and must be paid back.
Federal parent loan for undergraduate
students: (FPLUS)
This program enables parents to borrow
directly from many lending institutions to pay for a dependent
child's cost of education.
Repayment begins within 60 days of the date
the loan is disbursed.
There is also an alternative loan program
called a “Career Loan” that you can apply for. This
type of loan is not guaranteed and is based upon you credit history. The
interest on this loan is not fixed by the same rules as the Stafford Loans. You may
also require a co-signer for this loan.
The primary purpose of financial aid is to
provide financial resources to students who, otherwise would be
unable to attend. To be qualified for financial aid under the
following federally sponsored programs, the student:
Must be a US National or permanent
resident, holding an alien registration card.
Must demonstrate financial need
Must be enrolled on a part time or
full-time schedule
Must maintain satisfactory progress
Cannot be in default of a prior
federal grant or loan
In case of serious illness, disabling
accident, or death in the immediate family, the school may make
a settlement which is reasonable and fair to both.
Any monies due applicant / student are to
be refunded within 30 days of formal cancellation or
termination. If the school is permanently closed and no longer
offering instruction after a student has enrolled, the student
shall be entitled to a full refund of tuition.
If a course is canceled subsequently to a student's enrollment, the
school at it's option will:
a) provide a full refund of all monies paid:
or
b) provided completion of the course.
An applicant rejected by Leon Studio One
School of Hair Design and Career Training Center shall be
entitled to a full refund of all monies paid.
A student who cancels within 7 calendar
days of signing the enrollment
agreement, shall be entitled to a refund of all monies paid to
the school. Policy applies regardless of whether or not the
student actually started training.
A student who cancels after 7 calendar
days, but prior to starting
class, is entitled to a full refund less the $100 registration
fee.
Fees and charges paid to the school for
goods and services which have not been provided by the school
and accepted by the student, shall be refunded. The
cancellation date will be determined by the postmark on written
notification, or the date said information is delivered to the
school administrator / owner in person.
Students who wish to withdraw from the program must notify the Director in
writing. "Failure to do so may result in a delay of refund
of tuition pursuant to Section 5002 of the Education Law".
A student terminating after enrollment and
seven days of instruction, will
be liable for the registration fee; cost of any textbooks and
supplies accepted and any tuition liability as of the students
